Dr. Laith El-sanfaz is a sports physician and physical rehabilitation medicine consultant at Benghazi Medical Center (BMC), a team physician for the Libyan National Football A Team and Al Itihad Football Club, Libya. He is also the head of the Sports Injury Unit of BMC.
Dr. El-sanfaz has received his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Garyounis University in 2004. He has then earned a fellowship in Sports and Exercise Medicine from Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK in 2012. In addition to that, he has received special training at WestMARC Center, Glasgow in dealing with amputees and handicapped patients and special training at the Liverpool Youth Soccer Academy as part of his sports and exercise study.
He is a full member of ESCOPE “European College of Sports and Exercise Physician,” also a full member of BASEM “British Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine” and a board member of the Libyan Society of Sports and Exercise Medicine.
